What to Check Before an AI Campaign Video Reaches the Final Cut

Imagine this: the launch date is wrong. It appears for less than two seconds, so nobody catches it before the video reaches final approval.

Everything else looks ready: warm lighting, a clean product shot and a smooth closing transition. But the coffee label also changes colour halfway through, and the website address is too small to read on a phone.

When a team tests a campaign idea with Seedance 2.5, the first result should still be treated as a working draft. A tool can shape the footage, but it cannot know which details the client considers non-negotiable. Those decisions need to come from the brief.

    Start With the Facts

Before discussing camera movement or music, answer one question:

“What should the viewer remember after watching?”

For a local coffee shop launching a summer blend, the answer might be the product name and release date. The same clip does not need to explain the origin of the beans, the roasting process, the full menu and the company’s history.

Next, record every detail that cannot change, where the approved information came from and who must check it.

    Item Approved source Version Owner
Packaging Current product image Version number Designer
Launch date Approved campaign plan Revision and date Campaign manager
Price Current offer sheet Revision and date Commercial owner
Disclaimer Approved legal copy Revision number Legal reviewer
Website Published destination URL Checked date Editor

Assign one final owner as well. Individual reviewers may approve branding, offer details, claims and delivery settings, but one named person should confirm that every approval applies to the same final export.

Otherwise, the designer may approve one version, the campaign manager another, and a third version may be published by mistake.

Turn the Brief Into Clear Instructions

A short shot list is often enough:

    • Show the unopened coffee bag
    • Move closer to the blend name
    • Show the coffee being prepared
    • Add a relaxed breakfast moment
    • End with the date and website

Each scene now has a reason to be there. If a shot looks attractive but does not support the message, it can go.

The ending deserves extra attention. Campaign videos often spend too long setting the mood, then squeeze the price, date and call to action into the last second. A plain closing frame that people can read is more useful than another clever transition.

Reference files also need clear roles. A product photo can define the packaging. A brand guide can set the colours. A motion example can show the intended camera direction.

Write the purpose next to each file. Extra material becomes a problem when one reference shows the old packaging and another shows the new one. Clear names such as “summer-blend-front-v3” are easier to follow than “final,” “final-new” and “final-2.”

    Review It Three Ways

Start with the sound off. Is the product easy to recognise? Does the sequence make sense? Can the viewer understand the main point without narration?

Next, pause on important frames. Check labels, logos, colours, hands, faces and background objects. Watch transitions closely for sudden changes in shape or position.

Then turn the sound back on and use the device where the campaign will appear. Listen for pronunciation and music levels. Make sure text stays on screen long enough to read. A layout that works on a laptop may lose the product or closing message when cropped for a vertical feed.

Fix Small Errors Without Ignoring Big Ones

When planning a Seedance 2.5 campaign video workflow, decide early which mistakes may be corrected locally and which ones require a new version.

A background object, clothing detail or product element may be a candidate for targeted revision when the rest of the scene works. A confusing message, poor timing or incorrect sequence usually needs a revised prompt, a fresh generation or manual editing.

After any change, watch the complete version again. Fixing one frame can create a continuity issue later in the scene.

Do Not Turn Visuals Into Evidence

A convincing image is not proof of product performance.

Steam does not show how long a drink stays hot. An animated shoe cannot demonstrate real grip or durability. A skincare sequence cannot establish a medical result.

Prices, specifications, comparisons and performance claims should come from verified campaign material. Clearly identify illustrative footage where limited confusion is possible. If a generated scene could materially mislead viewers about a real test, product result, medical outcome, customer response or news event, replace it rather than relying only on disclosure.

Source material needs the same care. Confirm permission before using identifiable people, voices, music, logos, trademarks or client assets. Platform commercial-use terms do not grant rights to third-party material included in the input or output.

Check current content rules, watermark settings and disclosure requirements before publishing. Do not upload confidential campaign files without approval.

    Before Exporting

    Make sure that:

    • The video has one clear purpose
    • Product details and claims match an approved source
    • Branding stays consistent
    • Reference files are current and authorised
    • One final owner has approved the exact export
    • Text and audio work on the intended device
    • The aspect ratio, resolution and export settings match the publishing channel
    • The full clip was reviewed after the last change

The first version only needs to make the idea clear enough for useful feedback. A named final owner, current source files and one last full review make it far more likely that a wrong launch date is caught before anyone hits export.
